Plimoth Plantation

Pre-paid tickets are sent to you in the mail and can be used now through the end of the Plimoth Plantation season (November 27, 2005).

Plimoth Plantation is the living history museum of 17th-century Plymouth Colony where visitors have a chance to learn first-hand the stories of both the native Wampanoag Nation and the English colonists (the "Pilgrims"). Visitors experience the history and culture of these two distinctly different groups by exploring the vividly recreated houses, furnishings, and details of their daily lives, and interacting with the knowledgeable staff members.

Provisioning a Ship: This brand new exhibit is the latest addition to the Mayflower II museum location. Everyone knows the worst part of going on a trip is knowing what to pack. Imagine figuring out what you would need to begin your new life across the ocean. The Mayflower voyage in 1620 was at the leading edge of a mass migration - by 1643, more than 20,000 English people had made the passage to New England. The journey across the Atlantic might take from two to four months, requiring a great deal of organization. Good advance planning for food, drink, and cooking fuel could take some of the discomfort out of the generally unpleasant, sometimes miserable and dangerous, voyage. Through this exhibit, learn how the organizers of colonies like Plymouth knew what kind of provisions were necessary, and how much to bring?

Strawbery Banke's Candlelight Stroll

Bring the magic of the holidays to life! Tickets can be used 4:00pm - 9:00pm on any one of the following dates: Saturday, December 3, Sunday, December 4, Saturday, December 10, or Sunday, December 11.

Join us for an Enchanted Winter's Eve at Strawbery Banke! Step over the threshold of time and experience American Christmas Traditions past and present. The quaint lanes of Strawbery Banke are aglow with hundreds of luminaries lining every snowy path, the historic homes are festively decorated and the alluring scents and sounds of the holiday season abound.

Victorian Christmas Be a guest of Sarah Goodwin and her family in the Goodwin Mansion as they hang evergreen boughs and decorate their tree for a mid 1800's Victorian Christmas celebration.

Hannukah Celebrations Mrs. Shapiro bakes Hannukah goodies in her welcoming 1919 kitchen while in the sitting room, her children play dreidle for golden chocolate coins.

The Magic of the Season With twinkling white lights, Gingerbread Houses, Garden Trains, the magic of the season comes alive through Special Exhibits, Holiday Storytelling, Carolers and a toasty Bonfire that'll warm your spirit on this winter's eve.
